Gardens & Lawns
You’ll notice from our photos below a plethora of different planting styles we employ to complement your home. Every property is different and our extensive horticulture training and experience helps us advise on the best suited combination of species for low maintenance, beautifying and privacy screening where required.
The layout will quite often require a border of edging between garden bed and lawn or pebble areas. Coreten (rusty) Steel, paved or concrete edging is incorporated to separate surfaces. Rather than considering gardens and lawns to be a maintenance liability, we ensure a clever use of correct species to help soften all areas and require the lowest amount of maintenance necessary.
You can also include vege/herb boxes. A small series of self-contained vege tanks or boxes that are properly prepared can ensure that our gardens can be useful in creating produce to use in your healthy food preparation. There’s nothing more rewarding and satisfying than being able to say “you grew it yourself”!
Irrigation is an option but may not be required in the long run for well-established hardy plants and lawn varieties. Synthetic turf is also an option but plastic laid outside gets hot underfoot and flattens out. Real turf is a great heat soak and a perfect softening of surrounding concrete, paving, brick, and other hard surfaces we see in the outdoor areas of a building.
