Driveways & Paths
Our driveways and paths can consist of well-built Concrete, Paving, Asphalt, pebbles or a combination of these such as Paved borders with a bitumen or concrete inlay. It’s a necessity for concrete or paved driveways to be reinforced with steel due to the weight bearing from cars and trucks. Within the concrete range we can lay plain, coloured, stamped or exposed aggregate options to your colour or pattern choice.
We still have the option of a non-reinforced surface for a driveway or path such as pebbles or asphalt. Asphalt needs to be bordered with properly set bricks or pavers in order to keep the bitumen from crumbling off the edges. Pebble driveways and paths are the best for permeability so as to allow water to pass through to the ground water table but also generally need to be bordered with an edge to stop them travelling.
Drainage is a major consideration for any of our paths and driveways to avoid water pooling or heading toward any structure. Our heights and falls are determined from the outset so as to allow for any required plumbing in the first stage of preparation works. All too often we encounter badly laid paths and driveways that are in a desperate need of repair within only a few years of being laid.
